Details: I’m Patty Ann Brown, a writer shaped by faith, grief, reflection, and grace. Through essays, opinions, personal reflections, and poetry, I gather the scattered strands of life and try to make sense of them in words that are honest, grounded in truth, and centered on Jesus Christ. Brown Study and Wool Gathering is a name that means a lot to me. It honors my family name and heritage, but it is also a deeper play on words that reflects who I’ve always been—someone given to deep thought, reflection, and gathering all kinds of scattered facts, memories, questions, and pieces of life, then trying to make sense of them through faith. In this season especially, it also reflects my desire to step more fully into the identity God created me for. This blog is where I gather those strands and shape them into words, with the hope of keeping them honest, grounded in truth, and centered on Jesus Christ. When I share an opinion, it is my honest opinion. When I share an essay, it is exactly that—an essay. When I share a poem, it is poetry, with room for beauty, feeling, and creative expression. But whatever form my writing takes, I want it to stay grounded in truth.
